1957 Sat. Eve. Post Letters cwKY (as of 1930s), Of the marble games the most popular was just called “marbles.” It was played on a triangular ring about eighteen inches wide, usually for “keeps.” Marbles placed in the ring were “daked in.”. . “Tennessee” was played on a rectangular ring about six by four feet divided crosswise and lengthwise and surrounded by a larger rectangle leaving an eighteen inch border. Marbles could be “daked” only at the intersections, and all shots were made from the border line. It was usually played for “funs.”
